Description
Who it’s for
The FlexiSpot Lite is a small, cheap electric desk for a laptop, or a laptop and one monitor. If you’re working from a spare room or a corner of the kitchen and want to stand without buying a full office desk, this is the one we’d look at first. It has 310 reviews on Amazon.ie averaging 4.6 stars, which is more track record than most budget desks sold in Ireland.
It’s the wrong desk if you run two monitors, use a big screen, or you’re over about 185cm tall. More on all three below.

What’s good about it
The height range suits most people. It goes down to 60cm, lower than a lot of budget frames, so shorter people can sit at it with their elbows at a sensible angle. At 117cm, it goes high enough for most people standing.
The memory buttons matter more than they sound. You press once and the desk goes to your height, instead of holding a button and guessing. That makes switching quick, and switching is the whole point.
Then there’s the price. With free delivery to Ireland through Amazon.ie, it costs less than half what the mid-range desks from Irish suppliers cost.
Where it falls short
Depth is the big one. At 54cm, a 24 or 27-inch monitor ends up closer to your face than you’d want, and there’s not much room for a keyboard in front of it. A laptop on a stand with a separate keyboard works fine. A big monitor doesn’t.
At 117cm, the top of the range runs out for very tall people. If you’re over about 185cm, look at a desk that goes to 125cm or more.
The top is 15mm thick. The listing calls it solid wood, but at that thickness and price we wouldn’t count on it. Treat it as a light-duty top and don’t hang a heavy monitor arm off the edge.
The listing doesn’t give a weight limit or a warranty. If either matters to you, ask the seller through Amazon before you order.
What size standing desk do you need?
A rough guide to tops:
| Setup | Width | Depth |
|---|---|---|
| Laptop only | 100 to 120cm | 50 to 60cm |
| Laptop and one monitor | 110 to 140cm | 60cm or more |
| Two monitors | 140cm or more | 70 to 80cm |
The same Amazon.ie listing offers the Lite in bigger sizes, up to 200 x 80cm, so check the size options before you assume you’ve outgrown it. For two monitors, our standing desk guide compares wider desks you can get delivered to Ireland.
For height, stand up straight with your arms by your sides and bend your elbows to 90 degrees. The desk top should sit just below your elbows. Measure that before you order, and check it against the desk’s height range.
Delivery to Ireland
FlexiSpot sells the Lite through its UK store on Amazon.ie, and delivery to Ireland was free when we checked. Buy it there rather than on FlexiSpot’s own UK website, which adds £100 per item to Irish orders.
The listing doesn’t say where the desk ships from. From 1 November 2026, parcels sent to Ireland from outside the EU can carry a €2 handling fee on top of any VAT and customs. Check the final price at checkout.
Our verdict
Buy it if you work on a laptop, or a laptop and a small monitor, and you want an electric desk without spending €400. Skip it if you have two screens or a big one, or if you’re very tall. Spend more on a deeper desk from our comparison table instead.
